The European-American Chamber of Commerce, Netherlands (“EACC NL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Statement (“Statement”) describes how EACCNL collects, uses and discloses information you provide to us, including through our website at www.eaccnl.eu (the “Site”). The Statement also describe the choices available to you regarding our use of your personal information, how we share your information, and how you can access and update your information.

Collection of your Personal Information
We collect information that you provide when you use the Site. EACCNL also collects anonymous demographic information such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites, which we will treat as personal information if combined with other information that can identify you.
In addition, information about your computer hardware and software is automatically collected by EACCNL when you use the Site. This information is used by EACCNL for the operation of the Site, to maintain quality of the Site, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the Site.
EACCNL will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by applicable laws or regulation. For users with a membership to EACCNL or that have a membership account on the Site, EACCNL will retain the information provided by you for as long as you have an account on the Site. Copies of information that you have updated, modified, or deleted will remain in our systems if applicable law requires us to retain it.
Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through the Site’s public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others.

Any access to and use of such third party websites is not governed by this Statement, but instead is governed by the privacy statements of those third party websites, and we are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites.
Use of Cookies

Sharing of your Personal Information
EACCNL does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. EACCNL may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that we believe may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party.
In addition, the European-American Chamber of Commerce, Netherlands may share data with third-party service providers and partners to help us provide the Site and its functionality, perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, process payments and/or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to EACCNL, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
EACCNL does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent.
EACCNL keeps track of the pages our customers visit within Site in order to determine which EACCNL services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
EACCNL may transfer information, including your personal information, in connection with a merger, sale, acquisition or other change of ownership or control by or of us or any affiliated company (in each case whether in whole or in part).

When personal information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other websites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. However, the security of information transmitted through the Internet can never be guaranteed. EACCNL is not responsible for any interception or interruption of any communications through the internet or for changes to or losses of data. Users of the Site are responsible for maintaining the security of any password, user ID or other form of authentication involved in obtaining access to password protected or secure areas of the Site. In order to protect you and your data, EACCNL may suspend your use of the Site without notice if any breach of security is suspected. Access to and use of password protected and/or secure areas of the Site are restricted to authorized users only. Unauthorized access to such areas is prohibited and may lead to criminal prosecution.

Children
We do not knowingly collect or maintain personal information from any person under the age of thirteen. No parts of our Services are directed to or designed to attract anyone under the age of thirteen.
Do Not Track
The Site does not support Do Not Track with respect to the Services at this time. Do Not Track (DNT) is a privacy preference that you can set in your web browser to indicate that you do not want certain information about your webpage visits collected across websites when you have not interacted with that service on the page. We provide the Site from servers located in the Netherlands.
