Net Zero, Now What? – The Carbon Footprint Challenge for Companies

The road to net zero, where are now and where to go next: A practical discussion on what companies can do to drive their international businesses along the road to net zero.

AGENDA:
Where have we come from:  Drivers for Net Zero, investors, customers, regulatory
 Market trends and regulatory changes
> Who is driving the change, role of the stakeholders
> How can stake holders work together to make this happen?
What are we doing [what is already happening]:  Common steps made by firms covering items such as reporting and goal setting, green buildings, greening your fleet, supply chain changes, employee engagement, government subsidies – is it enough?
ESG requirements – do they have enough teeth to make a difference?
Where is the money coming from (who needs to take the lead private sector or public sector?)
Are companies taking this seriously, are they restructuring their activities in a lasting and meaningful way
Are we thinking far enough? Are companies radical enough, how much closer do we need to get to the edge? There is progress: Risk approach, bottom line exposure, risk mitigation focus (buying life insurance)
What’s next: new regulation, Green Deal in Europe, Tax Reduction Act, litigation / punishment for greenwashing
