The Roadmap to Success in the U.S.

The Roadmap to Success in the U.S.

Thursday, December 4 | Nyenrode Business University, Breukelen

The European American Chamber of Commerce (EACC) Netherlands and the business committee ‘Van Verre Consultancy’ of the Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre (NCV), will co-host a program, designed for students of Nyenrode Business University, on doing business in the world’s largest consumer market.

Therefore, we would like to invite you to join us at Nyenrode Business University in Breukelen on Thursday, December 4 from 19.30-22.00 where we will share insights on different aspects of the American way of doing business.

We have selected several expert members of the EACC, who will be happy to guide you through this country where the workforce, technologies, landscapes, natural resources, and funding sources are vast and varied.

This program will not be very technical or in-depth, but instead more as an insightful appetizer in case you consider in the future to be active with your business or as a professional in the U.S.

INTERNATIONAALVERZEKEREN.NL
Entering new markets and taking advantage of cross-border opportunities is very self-evident for many companies. But how does that work from an insurance perspective? Which rules do I have to comply with? And are there compulsory insurances? Too often we encounter companies that do business abroad but do not arrange insurance properly. Or miss he right local support. That is why we started www.internationaalverzekeren.nl . A platform that provides the first (insurance) information. When it comes to offering insurances, Van Luin Assurantiën will help you with that (through their international network), but we are also happy if others use our knowledge. • Leon Commissaris
    Leon Commissaris
    Principal Consultant, SPRING SEARCH International

In early 2019, I asked myself how I could turn a perfectly good pharma career into my dream career.

The answer came quickly: everything I do well and love doing revolves around people: listening to them, understanding them, and supporting them in what they need.

It’s always been what I care about most. And it’s what I do best. That’s when I founded SPRING SEARCH International.

Today, we are a team of three, helping fast-growing companies build the teams they need to scale.

We are a personal and dedicated consultancy that works closely with founders and leaders to solve one of the hardest growth challenges: finding the right people and shaping a team that truly works, both nationally and internationally.

  • Nicholette Ross
    Nicholette Ross
Foreign Direct Investment Advisor, Global Location Strategies

As a managing site selection consultant, Nicholette advises companies on making informed location strategy decisions that drive growth and success. She also manages our Europe office and oversees international business development initiatives.

Nicholette brings a unique international perspective to location strategy, having worked overseas in Europe for the South Carolina Department of Commerce. At SC Commerce’s European Office, located in Munich, Germany, she advised companies across 13 countries on opening a facility in the US and assisted with the process.

She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in marketing and management and an international MBA from Florida International University. Nicholette speaks conversational Spanish and Mandarin Chinese and enjoys gardening, cooking, and crocheting.

  • Robert Havekotte
    Robert Havekotte
    Founder, InternationaalVerzekeren.nl

After completing my Business Administration studies at Erasmus University Rotterdam, I joined Van Luin Assurantiën in 1992. Four years later, in 1996, I became a managing partner.

We advise Dutch and international companies, both within the Netherlands and (far) beyond. We currently assist many companies in establishing themselves in the USA. We share our knowledge we have acquired over the past few years on our website in various white papers. We are the leading knowledge platform for international insurance. In doing so, we take full advantage of our international network, UNiBA (with partners in over 100 countries).

I love to travel and, as a former Olympic water polo player, I’m still a huge sports fanatic. I have two, of course sporty, children. I live in Bilthoven with my wife.
