Stan de Caluwe has 12 years of experience in guiding companies in the European market. Stan joined the Holland International Distribution Council (HIDC) in 2015 to help overseas companies with setting up and optimizing their supply chain in Europe. He regularly travels to Canada and the U.S. to educate new and existing exporters to Europe on the differences and peculiarities of doing business in the EU, from a supply chain perspective. Since starting at HIDC, Stan has handled over 200 projects from North America, varying from large scale distribution centres to small and medium-sized businesses making their first moves into the European market.
Wim Dillen, International Development Manager, Antwerp Port Authority
After learning the ropes of maritime forwarding at several renowned Antwerp Forwarding companies, Wim Dillen worked for close to 28 years in the non-ferrous metals industry, where he held several managerial functions and headed international supply chain teams up to 50 people. Wim Dillen saw a new challenge at the Antwerp Port Authority where he started in 2010 as Sr Business Development Manager, ensuring further growth & success of Port of Antwerp, by attracting new and safeguarding existing business. In 2015 he was put in charge of defining, developing and implementing Antwerp’s commercial vision and strategy, heading a team of 10 Business Development managers. Since 2018, he represents the Port in the world during economic missions, roadshows, and events. He now coordinates a team of 15 international Port representatives and manages important international challenges & opportunities (Brexit, CETA, BRI, Trade wars, etc.). He holds amongst others a Master Degree in Logistic Management.
